Notes on the battery deposit

As a dealer, we are legally obliged to charge a battery deposit of € 7.50 including sales tax when selling a new battery. Therefore, the battery deposit is already included in the purchase price for all of our car batteries. You can hand in your old battery free of charge at a municipal collection point and have this confirmed on the deposit slip enclosed in the delivery or on the invoice. On presentation of this disposal receipt (by e-mail, fax or letter) you will receive the battery deposit of Euro 7.50 back from us.

Notes on the battery law

The following information is aimed at those who use batteries and no longer sell them in the form supplied to them (end users):

1. Free return of used batteries Batteries must not be disposed of with household waste. You are legally obliged to return used batteries. As a distributor of batteries, we are obliged to take back used batteries (with the exception of products with built-in used batteries), whereby our take-back obligation is limited to used batteries of the type that we carry or have carried as new batteries in our range, as well as to the amount Typically discard end-users. 2. Meaning of the battery symbols Batteries are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out wheelie bin (see below). Contaminated batteries are specially marked with chemical symbols. For batteries that contain more than 0.0005 percent by mass of mercury, more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium or more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead, the chemical name of the pollutant used is under the garbage can symbol & "Cd" stands for cadmium, "Pb "stands for lead and" Hg "for mercury.
