Scope of delivery:

2x telescopic fork (left + right)

Note: Below you will find the complete step-by-step instructions for the telescopic fork set you purchased from us.

Top up oil - the easiest way to do it

There is a cap (nut) with an internal thread at the top of the telescope.

This cap (nut) must be pushed inwards to create space for the oil.

Below you will find step-by-step instructions. This means that the telescopic fork does not have to be completely dismantled - the oil can be filled in very easily from above.

1. Push in the cap at the top of the telescope

To create space for the oil, screw an M8 screw into the cap with the internal thread
(the longer the screw, the more pleasant the work).

Press the screwed-in screw down firmly so that the cap slides into the telescope - this creates space for the oil.

Always perform everything with the telescope in a vertical position.

The easiest way to do this is in pairs:
- one person presses the screw,
- the other fills the oil.

2. Fill with oil

In this position, add 40 ml of oil per telescope:
- MZA 7286 - telescopic fork oil SAE 5W (80 ml for both telescopes),
- ADDINOL HLP46 (slightly thicker, also well suited).

When filling, open the two air vents approx.close 2 cm below the top edge:
- with your fingers
- or temporarily with adhesive tape.

Open the air vents again immediately after filling.

3. Locking the telescope

After filling, hold the telescope upright and do not lie down - lying down would cause the oil to leak out of the air vents.

Press the top cap (nut with internal thread) back into its original position.

Unscrew the M8 screw.

4. Distribute oil

After a few minutes, when the oil has completely run down, you can carefully turn the telescope upside down for a few seconds - only briefly, so that no oil escapes.

Then squeeze and pull the telescope apart several times to distribute the oil evenly and check the function.

Very important

Telescopes must not be stored horizontally.
They must always be upright, otherwise the oil will leak out through the air vents.

Telescopic fork - professional disassembly step by step

Note(We generally do not recommend completely dismantling the telescopic fork.
It is better to fill the oil from above - as described in the previous instructions.)

1. Clamping the shock absorber

Carefully fix the shock absorber in a vice.
- Always use rubber or aluminum protective jaws.
- Do not stretch too tightly to avoid scratches or deformation.

2. Loosen the lower half of the fork (where the front axle passes through)

Insert a suitable axle or a sturdy 12 mm rod into the openings for the front axle and use it as a lever.
This allows the lower half of the fork to be unscrewed counterclockwise.
The shutter is very tight ex works, so a little force is often required at first.
If necessary, a penetrating oil such as WD-40 can be used to facilitate loosening.

Important before assembly

Before re-screwing, rub the O-ring with a little grease or oil so that it is not damaged during tightening.
